MIMESIS posters

Raoul Middleman (born 1935) is a leading American figurative and landscape painter. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Corcoran Gallery, National Gallery, Baltimore Museum, and New York Public Library among others. He is a past president of the National Academy of Design.

The works featured in this series were painted in the spring of 2001 from the 91st floor of the World Trade Center as part of a program run by the LMCC (Lower Manhattan Cultural Council).

 

 

Ruth Channing is a French trained, American printmaker and painter. She studied with Stanley Hayter at Atelier 17 in Paris, and with Jacob Lawrence at the Art Students' League in New York. Ruth prints her own work, from copper plates, on 100% rag paper. The editions are limited and all prints are numbered and signed by the artist.
